hydrogenated rosin ester is made from hydrogenated rosin or refined hydrogenated rosin through esterification with glycerin. It has a suitable FDA status for use in food packaging applications covered by 175.105.
The features of hydrogenated rosin ester is Low volatility, light color, high softening point, superior heat stability and weather resistance. Compatibility with EVA ,A very stable resin compatible with synthetic polymers.
A tackifier in applications for packaging, Bookbinding, Sealant, Hot melt adhesive, Pressure-sensitive adhesives and coatings.
Food additives, used as emulsifying stabilizer in drinks and is also an additive in chewing gum making.
